Tasty and cost-effective
Granted, I buy this product from a local big box store rather than Amazon for under $30. But still, compared to other products out there this is the absolute best value I could…
I’ve been using the EAS brand of 100% whey protein (chocolate flavor) from 5lb bags for several months now, and I just love the taste. I tried Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey and although it is more popular here on amazon, unfortunately it tastes like a cheap hot chocolate mix while this EAS brand tastes like a chocolate milk shake! The EAS brand mixes well with water or milk. Bring a Shaker Bottle and a few scoops of EAS protein powder to the gym in small containers ‘like’ these Tupperware Midgets to have before and after your workout! It’s great also in smoothies, milk shakes and mixed with milk in cereal!

Leaves much to be desired
I just finished a 5 lb. bag of this stuff and I have been using various protein supplements for over 5 years now so I can speak from a little experience.
The EAS 100% Whey Chocolate flavor protein supplement tastes like chocolate milk when you mix regular or soy milk in it. The powder mixes well if you have milk in the cup before adding the powder. However, despite the good taste, I usually get minor stomach aches after consuming this drink because of the Splenda (a.k.a artificial flavoring) in the ingredient used to make this whey powder, so be careful. I would advise new buyers to purchase the smaller 12.5 oz jar (12 – 18$)to see how their body would react to this product before buying the 5 lb + bag/jar. The taste is great but the ingredients used to accommodate EAS’ product taste is also something else you should keep in mind.

I’ve been using this stuff for about a year now. It’s the best bang for your buck when it comes to whey protein. Works great for a post-workout or right before bed shake. The taste isn’t great but it’s not horrible either. I usually do 4oz of water & 4oz of milk and it tastes just fine. BUT, you can by this exact product in chocolate or vanilla at Sams Club for $29 which is what I do.
